Marketing Freelancer

The Duckbill Group is looking for a freelance marketer who is up to date on all social media platforms with a background in tech to support our marketing operations of the Last Week in AWS publication. You’ll work closely and collaboratively with our Media Team, overseen by our Director of Media Operations. This is a great opportunity to work with a growing influencer in the tech space and to express your imagination in what ‘marketing’ means beyond ‘pay for Google Ads.’ Make Corey an even louder voice than he already is!

The tasks fall into two main buckets:

Marketing Operations

  • Help maintain brand voice, tone and style in accordance w/ company guidelines across organic and paid channels.
  • Manage and monitor our social media accounts, reviewing and scheduling posts 
  • Create short-form content for social channels, tailoring our message to different audiences while maintaining Last Week in AWS’s brand voice

Website Management

  • Manage the LWIA website content and update website copy as needed, adding new pages when necessary
  • Maintain WordPress: Updating plugins, landing pages, forms


  • Experience related to tech or influencer marketing
  • Must be within GMT -5 to -8 timezones (East to West coast United States)
